      Oxo-manganese-porphyrin is prepared by the reaction of (p- Cl) TPPMnCl, which has been prepared before in our laboratory, with aqueous solution of 5% NaCIO in dichloromethane, in which (t-Bu)4NCl acts as the phase-transfer reagent. The compound, (p-Cl)TPPMn(O)Cl, is characterized by ESR spectrum and UV- Visible spectrum. The reactivity of the oxo- manganese- porphyrin with different kinds of olefines are studied. The results show that for the olefines studied, the bigger the space-barrier of an olefine, the slower the velocity of the reaction of (p-Cl)TPPMnCl(O)Cl with the olefine, that is V(acrylic acid) >V(maleic anhydride) >V(cyclohexene)>V(maleic acid)>V (norborene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride).
